15-Year-Old Jewish Girl Tragically Killed In Boating Accident In Key Biscayne

Fifteen-year-old Ella Adler OBM was tragically killed over Shabbos in a boating accident near Nixon Beach in Key Biscayne as she celebrated a friends birthday.

According to reports, Ella had been Jet Skiing around 4:30pm when she was struck by another vessel, fatally injuring her.

“Our officers are looking for the vessel that struck her; it was last seen heading westbound from Nixon Beach, the Florida Fish and Wildlife commission wrote. “It is described as a center console boat with a light blue hull. The boat has multiple white outboard motors and may have blue or dark blue bottom paint.”

Ella, a proud Jew, was a student at the Ransom Everglades School and was described a person who shined and embodied the mission of the school.
