Important Eruv Notification for Shabbos Korach

Dear Community Members,

We regret to inform you that the eruv will be non-operational for this upcoming Shabbos. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and want to ensure that everyone is aware of the situation and takes the necessary precautions.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the eruv infrastructure requires maintenance, and it will not be in service for this Shabbos, starting from Friday evening June 23 until Saturday evening June 24. During this period, the eruv’s boundary will not be valid, and the following precautions should be observed:

  1. Carrying: As the eruv will not be functioning, please refrain from carrying or transporting any items outside of your private property on Shabbos. This includes items such as keys, prayer books, strollers, or anything that would typically be allowed within the eruv’s boundaries.
  2. Baby Strollers and Wheelchairs: Please avoid using baby strollers or wheelchairs outside of your private property during this Shabbos. If necessary, consult with your local rabbi for guidance on specific situations.
  3. Food Preparation: Ensure that all necessary preparations for Shabbos meals, including setting up the table and arranging necessary utensils, are done within your private property. Avoid bringing items from outside of your property for this purpose.
  4. Attending Synagogue: If you usually rely on the eruv to carry your prayer books or other necessary items to the synagogue, please make alternative arrangements. You may consider leaving your prayer books at the synagogue before Shabbos.

We understand the significance of the eruv for our community, and we are working diligently to restore its operation as soon as possible.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these precautions during this temporary period of non-operational eruv. Let us come together as a community and make this Shabbos a meaningful and spiritually uplifting experience.

Wishing you a blessed and peaceful Shabbos.

Miami Beach Eruv Council President
