Don’t Wait, Vote Early This Week

With the August 23 primary election quickly approaching, voters should not wait. They are encouraged to take advantage of early voting now.

It is a convenient option with little to no wait times and sites will be open late this week, providing voters with more flexibility. Voters can visit any of the 23 locations throughout Miami-Dade County this week. Turnout tends to increase with each passing day.

The full list of early voting sites, including hours of operations, addresses, and wait times can be found on the Elections Department early voting page. The wait times will be updated throughout the day, so voters can make an informed decision as to when and where is most convenient for them.

Voters are also encouraged to review their customized sample ballot to prepare before heading to the polls.

At the conclusion of the 2020 United States census, the Florida Legislature and Miami-Dade County completed a process called “redistricting,” the redrawing of district lines to adjust for population growth rates. As a result, voters’ representatives, district numbers, or polling places may have changed. In preparation for the August 23 primary election, all voters were mailed a new voter information card. Voters are invited to discard their old card and review their new card carefully to confirm which districts they are assigned to and that all their information is correct. Voters are encouraged to visit www.iamelectionready.org and click on “Redistricting” to learn more.
