by JewishMiami.info
The HCA University Hospital in Davie, Florida is the most recent hospital to open a Kosher Room, launching the new room this week.
“We are proud to announce the opening of a brand-new Kosher Room at HCA University Hospital,” Healing Hearts wrote on social media. “This was made possible thanks to the invaluable support and dedication of Hatzalah of South Florida and Mr. Moshe Soskin, whose instrumental role in establishing this room has helped make it a reality.”
Jewish families visiting patients will now have a quiet place to obtain kosher food without having to leave the hospital, as well as a place to enjoy respite and pray in a comfortable setting.
The Kosher room is easily accessible on the second floor of the hospital near the waiting room.
“Thank you to Rabbi Schwartz from Chabad at NSU for joining the ribbon cutting ceremony,” they wrote.
The room also includes a Tefillin stand for those who need.
