Swatting Incident At Reform Synagogue In Boca Raton Over Shabbos

Congregation B’nei Israel, a Reform Synagogue in Boca Raton, received an unhappy visitor over Shabbos after a prankster called in a bomb threat to their synagogue.

The Boca Raton Police Department responded to the synagogue after receiving a call to a hotline claiming that the caller had pipe bombs strapped to him and would blow up the synagogue.

Officers swept the synagogue premises and ensured that the call was a fake. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
