Three South Florida Stores Found To Be Displaying an Unauthorized OK Certification

by JewishMiami.info

Three South Florida establishments have been discovered to be using an unauthorized OK Kosher Certification symbol, potentially creating confusion as for the food’s kosher status.

“The following supermarkets – Euroland (Deerfield Beach, FL), Europa Gourmet (Hollywood, FL) and Matryoshka (Sunny Isles Beach, FL) are displaying an unauthorized OK certification mark on various signage, as well as on snack items under brands Euroland/Euroline,” the OK Kashrus wrote in a press release. “OK Kosher does not certify this company’s products or establishments.”

With the explosion of the Jewish community in South Florida, Kosher certification is a big deal, with many food establishments looking to find certifications willing to certify them.

Always check the certification of an item if you have any questions by looking the establishment up on the certifying agencies website.
