Florida House of Representatives Approves Abortion Ban For 15 Weeks

A ban on abortion after fifteen weeks has passed the Florida House of Representatives Thursday morning, ending hours of debate along partisan lines.

“This is the right to life and to give up life is unconscionable to me,” said Republican Rep. Dana Trabulsy, who disclosed that she previously had an abortion but has “regretted it everyday since.”

Multiple states have moved toward similar bans, with Mississippi having its existing ban questioned in the Supreme Court.
