Healing Hearts Opens New Kosher Room In Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

It’s a major step for the rapidly growing Jewish community of South Florida. Healing Hearts inaugurated their new Kosher Room at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
“We would like to thank the co-sponsors who helped make this possible, Ben J. and Dorit, Avi and Debra Naider, and the Jewish Federation of Broward County,” Healing Hearts wrote on social media. “We also want to thank the representatives from Chai Lifeline and Hollywood Bikur Cholim who came out to show their support.”
The new Kosher Family Lounge is located on the first floor of the main building of Joe D and provides a beautiful bright space for families to eat, pray, and relax. The previous Healing Hearts Kosher Lounge was located in another building entirely and was a struggle for many.
“You don’t understand the need until you’re in JDC and need to walk across the street and two buildings down and all the way into the hospital to reach the kosher lounge,” one commenter noted on Instagram. “This alleviates that burden of having to walk so far to reach kosher food especially when you want to stay close to your baby. Thank you for this,”
The new Healing Hearts Kosher Lounge will be stocked with the Healing Hearts signature sandwiches, salads, and wraps, as well as an array of snacks and coffee.
May this room bring comfort to all who use it!
