Projects Launched in Memory of Esti Moskowitz A”H
We continue to deeply mourn the loss of our sweet, kind, fun, funny, resilient, thoughtful, and caring Esti Moskowitz a”h. We have been humbled and touched by the many messages and notes that we have received from around the world; the recognition by so many of how richly Esti lived and how many lives she impacted, on the one hand, heightens and deepens our sense of loss, but, on the other hand, simultaneously serves as a source of comfort.
So many of you have reached out to us, asking how you could do something in Esti’s memory. It is very important to our family to be able to keep her memory alive through meaningful projects. We have carefully considered how best to commemorate Esti’s life, in ways that best communicate and perpetuate her values and legacy.
While we remain deeply focused on the war in Israel and the many needs there, we are also acutely aware of the necessity to still nurture local needs and causes. Together with our beloved Boca Raton Synagogue and Chai Lifeline, we are grateful to be dedicating two projects in Esti’s memory.
Esti’s Playground
Boca Raton Synagogue is in the midst of an exciting expansion project that will be breaking ground in the coming months. The playground will be one of the highlights of our new 84,000 sq ft BRS Campus for Jewish Life and Learning. We are grateful that the new, state-of-the-art playground on the new campus will be dedicated in Esti’s memory. Esti loved coming to shul, she loved to play, and she loved to have fun with her friends. All of these values will be captured in perpetuity with the dedication of this playground.

Chai Lifeline’s i-Shine Like Esti
Named for Esti Moskowitz a”h, Chai Lifeline’s i-Shine Like Esti is designed to meet the unique needs of Boca Raton children facing illness or loss. Esti had a heart of gold, was an incredible friend, and always put others first. Her positivity, joy, and selflessness are an inspiration to us all. This program is a tribute to Esti’s legacy of laughter and love, and it is our hope that it will provide other children with the opportunity to shine like Esti.
The i-Shine Like Esti program offers engaging afterschool programming in a supportive, fun, and nurturing environment. Each child is paired with a high school mentor, receives homework help and tutoring, and participates in games and recreational activities—allowing them to build friendships, find inner strength, and shine bright.

We are grateful to both BRS and Chai Lifeline for partnering with us in perpetuating Esti’s memory and we are confident that these opportunities reflect the values that Esti believed in.
In addition, please hold the date of Sunday, February 4 when we will be dedicating a Torah in Esti’s memory. The Torah is currently being written in Israel and it will be meaningful to share that Torah with BRS and have it used regularly in her memory.
We are appreciative to each and every one of you for your friendship, care, and love over this difficult past year and a half. May the neshama of Esther Tehila Bas Gavriel Pinchas have a continued Aliyah and may her legacy continue to inspire us all.
With much love and gratitude,
Philip, Arielle, Moshe, Shayna and Rena Moskowitz
