PSA: PBSO Warns Of Scammer Posing As Sheriff Employee

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has released the following Public Service Announcement regarding a scammer posing as a PBSO employee.

Beware, there is an imposter calling community members claiming to be us, a PBSO employee! This scammer is using various names and phone numbers, and telling recipients they need to call back regarding an ongoing civil matter. The phone number given, 561-291-6520, IS NOT a PBSO number. This is a SCAM! If you receive a call like this, please HANG UP IMMEDIATELY and CALL is at 561-688-3400, the nearest law enforcement agency, or 911 if necessary. Don’t fall victim to this scam!
