by JewishMiami.info

Just in time for the nine days, news has surfaces of an expected price increase for Kosher meat as a major wholesaler announces price hikes.

“Regrettably, we have been informed by Soloman’s of a drastic price increase on domestic beef which will be implemented beginning this week,” Springfield Wholesale Meat Distributor informed its retailers. “Effective on orders shipping Monday, July 24th, we are forced to pass along the attached increase.”

The shocking price increases include a 39% increase on almost all beef products, with a shocking 79% increase on Prime Whole Rib. Few products were able to bypass any increase at all, but some few saw a single digit or low number increase.

This price increase will undoubtable rock the Jewish world already reeling from consistent inflation and stubbornly high housing prices.
